I asked Lokum for a post-bunny for Rezzables, and Lokum said, "How about a wedding theme?" I was initially going to ask Winter to marry my boy avatar (both in cute tuxedos), but got sidetracked by this hot elven maid. "So, wanna marry me?" I asked Terry Toland. "I have five minutes, sure," she said. Of course, I'm being unfaithful to Katat0nik, but it's all in the name of fun and furthering the No H8 cause.
The bloginista and artist community of Second Life has gotten behind the real life No H8 campaign with a vengeance. The No H8 Flickr photo gallery has everyone who is anyone in it (and if you aren't, go add your picture!), which causes me to wonder: does anyone conservative play Second Life? You can see these photos in a gallery on the Cupcake sim. The premise of No H8 is to protest against California's Proposition 8, which is a constitutional amendment that bans same-sex marriages. This always puzzled me: if you're remotely conservative, why not support gay people having committed, long-lasting relationships?
Terry and I decided to get married in white Evie's Closet frocks, and I donned my Mourna elf ears just to be more fey for her (hey, one should always change for one's partner). I only hope I can return from seven years of indentured elfitude after taking a bite of Miss Terry's neck...

And for reference--yes, there are conservatives on Second Life. And no, not all conservatives (in RL or in SL) are against gay marriage or gay rights. Kudos for your efforts to support a worthy cause!
