L.O.V.E. "the morning after"

Hai! As this is my very first Rezzable post, I apologize that it may have many more words than subsequent posts. I should start with a quick intro… My name is Elusyve and I am Elf. I also answer to lusy, E, and elu, although if you say elu outloud, it sounds like a virtual potty.  I am ok with that.

If I seem somewhat vaguely familiar, you may remember me from such Rezzable events as the FDS (Face of the Darklands search) as well as participating on the runway in several Fashion shows. I also have a couple blogs of my own,  but I jumped at the chance to contribute here at the Rezzable blog when Lokum asked me. Winning the FDS contest was a catalyst for me, the kick-start I needed to move away from my virtual shyness. I met so many creative and talent people that encouraged and inspired me via FDS. I even met new people to stalk * blows pug kisses at Prad * So its like full circle that almost exactly a year after winning FDS, I get to continue with Rezzable in a new challenge.

Since I am the sort of elf that wades in slowly, rather than jumping blindly into the deep end, I thought I would start with something similar to LOTD.  The “Look of the Day” concept in SecondLife is one I enjoy. For some, it demonstrates their ability to put together or style amazing looks, and I particularly like it when they talk about their motivation or start for a look. A certain color. A certain article of clothing or accessory, or even mood, or sometimes even an overall concept/image. Sometimes LOTD is just want you happen to get caught wearing too.

So in spinning this Elusyve style, I tried to come up with an ultra awesome uber acronym, but after about 12 secs settled on L.O.V.E. Look Obsessed via Elusyve, and Looks Observed via Elusyve.  I will try to explain my convoluted way of how I am inspired to look as I do, and I will also sneak up and convince others to share their looks… Elves have vays of making you talk!

This look earned the name “the morning after” and oddly enough it started with the shoes. Sometimes you stumble upon an item or store and can’t believe you’ve never heard of it before, such it was with these shoes from Ivanka Akina. They are a classic high heel, done with a shiny finish and a sweet shape. Available in a range of colors, I was wow’d even more by their $150L price tag WIN!

The next item that found its way into my insanity was the new “mens” release from Zaara. I am a notorious “shirt thief”, which is the female equivelent to the males “pantie raid” In college we wore our ever growing male shirt collections with pride. Funny how something simple like a shirt can provoke good time memories.
 

Close one eye now, and focus... I'm am in these shoes and this shirt, and nothing else, and trying to figure out how to tie them together. Helpful suggestions of "blog like that!" were soon over turned after considering the left shot... comparing the two, yes it needed something.

When I need color inspiration, one of my favorite places to go is SMS. The looks she puts together and her bold embrace of color, has been key in helping me move away from the expected and safe choices.

So instead of “anything black”, voila…PINK.. and thus “the morning after” emerged.

PXL Creation's latest womens release "KIim" had a lipstick color bold enough to hold its own against the chaos of color.

Now I just have to find a way home, not many taxi's take pity on the wet and penniless...
