Simplicity (2010 - The Future is Now)

 

The Future, it seems that many people think it will be a complex place, filled with gadgets and thingamabobs designed to amuse us and makes our lives "easier".   While wandering the Greenies set up for 2010- The Future is Now,  a thought came to me; no matter how much life has changed, we always seem to crave simplicity and beauty.  Sure, what defines these things changes with each generataion, or even each individual, but when I put on Tabitha's creation, I realised that perhaps her and I share similar views of the future, and that it can and will be simply beautiful
 

Skin Within is always a goto when one desires a look that is not run of the mill, or to be lost in a crowd.  The makeups are executed with unique creativity, whimsy and playfulness too, resulting in a stunning look. This hair from Tiny Bird suggests a certain innocent youthfulness to me, yet it still has that futuristic edge, and it works wonderfully with the headpiece from the dress.

 

 

The gown has a translucent fragility to it, but the addition of the breast, shoulder and head pieces provide the strength to balance it.  I had to admit that this perhaps is one of my most favorite shades of pinkish.

 

When dreaming of the future, never forget to include beauty and simplicity, for these are the foundations from which anything is possible.
