Dangerous Violations

Slow down boy, these curves are dangerous. At least that's what this dress from Ivey Deschanel of SN@TCH is called, created for our Swansong event recently. I was so enamoured of it's high couture dark drama that I felt it deserved another outing, as I attempt to show you items from of all our 2010 - The Future Is Now designers before the event goes live on January 11th.

It comes with all manner of puffy goodness, this is the lolita skirt but it also comes with a courtesan skirt that drapes down behind, leaving these fetish ballet boots exposed. It's an homage to a real world design - Alexander McQueen's Magpie Dress but it was customised by Ivey with the image of the black swan, after the sim which hosted the event. And it's one of the more innovative use of sculpties in SL fashion that I've ever seen - plus happy third rezday, Ivey!

I found it a perfect match with the Hybrid skin from one of our recent additions to the 2010 team, Alia Baroque of Fallen Gods. One of the maestros of fantasy skins; this is one of the newest lines from the range called High Breeding. This is the Wrath makeup, and as you can see the subtle red highlights travel all over the perfectly shaded and glossy body. It's wild and fierce, yet fits perfectly into a mainstream fashion look.

Bet you can't take your eyes off my hair, eh? If this is the first time you've ever seen the work of Soraya Vaher of Violator, then are you going to be in for a treat in January!  Her muse is the swan, and a great deal of her creations feature this motif. Sadly we discovered her just a tad too late to add her to Swansong, but made a promise that no way was she escaping us all together - we chained her down and booked her on the spot for our next event. But you can see for yourself just how unlimited her imagination and skills are with this Berry Bush hair. It can clear a room with it's swaying tendrils and devilish swirling cornets.

We all know that it's the details which make the difference between being dressed and being FASHION. And in this case, I've selected the cuff and ring from the Rouge set by Jori Watler of ~alaMood~. Fiery and bold, it isn't lost at all in the whole spectacle of this look. And if you look closely at my face, you'll see the amazingly detailed glowing red spiders that Cerdwin Flanagan of BLU282 deemed should be made into eyes - and I gleefully concurred.

So this was my dangerous dramatic LOTD, and hopefully I've introduced you to a few designers you weren't yet aware of. And no matter how interesting these creations are? You haven't seen ANYTHING yet. Don't forget, 11th of January 2010 we go cyber all the way. See you in the future!
