As my very first blog for Rezzable I was invited to display some of the gorgeous new creations for the Digital Alchemy show. There are some elegant dresses, all ethereal and floating white and I want to share those with you too. But the first one that caught my eye was the Lapis Sun by Kavar Cleanslate of Exile. If Cleopatra had been out in the field in this rather than lounging on a chaise in something fluffy and pure she'd have conquered all the men between Egypt and Shanghai without a single blow being struck.

The fierce gold spiky prims are set off by Lapis Lazuli - a gem in the colour that the Egyptians love most, deep azure blue. These jewels are featured on the waistband of the armoured skirt and the armband of many rings that sets off the asymetrical collar ruff that juts out threateningly from the left shoulder. These rings are continued through all the included jewellery with this piece. That's the upper armcuff, the choker, and the mass of gold bracelets that slide down to the right wrist.

The dress isn't all sexy menance, the skirt and the sleeves are softened with rich gold drapery that floats behind you when you move. The shredded gold damask top has a matching glitch skirt to compliment it, and gives this golden warrior outfit a panther feel. On the whole - this dress is definately not one for those of you who like to remain hidden in the corner - it doesn't beg attention, it demands it.

This dress comes inbuilt with attitude, yet to best set it off I chose the Cleopatra Bob created by Violet Morelett of Inorite. Of course the only one that would sit just right with this outfit was the "Electric Electric Blue." You'll see a lot more of this hairstyle and the longer version over the next few weeks, but I squealed like a little girl when I saw it and tried it on. It comes with a golden coin headress, but this Lapis Sun really doesn't need any more gilding. And the skin! This is the gold peacock make up by Obscene Skins, and we'll show you those in more detail over the course of Digital Alchemy as well. But make sure you grab demos for yourself at the sim - this has to be seen on to be properly believed.
This stunning ensemble - and the many others - will be premiering at a preview show today the 4th at 2pm which is for press and bloggers by invite only. If you want to be amongst the very first to see what the fashion world will be talking about for the upcoming weeks then please IM Lokum Shilova and request to be added. If this isn't for you, on the 6th at 2pm there will be a show with the Nocturne Models that everyone is invited to. We have 26 designers participating from all different styles and genres so there is going to be something to amaze and delight everyone.
Here's your chariot ready for Friday!
