Help us spread the love of our OpenSim-based grid! We are looking for a highly energized and dynamic person to help us get more activity going on our Rezzable Grid. It is an incredible chance for someone to dig deep into this new technology and engage with artists, builders and virtual world enthusiasts from all over the planet in order to get busy and get into the next phase of the 3D Web/Metaverse.
What exactly do we need help with?:
- Getting people onto the Rezzable Grid. It is easy to register (actually it is a lot easier on Heritage Key) but we'd like to streamline the process. What info do people need? What should the flow be from web to virtual to actually doing something interesting?
- Managing the "Open Visions" series = a monthly showcase of an exciting art/concept/cool show on an entire sim. Yes, you can even pay the commissioned artist real money. We ran a simillar series on SL (before the openspaces rip-off) and now we want to do it again, better, with more gusto on our own grid. You would need to 1) find artists 2) get them making examples in SL or our Grid 3) pick/schedule the shows 4) promote the shows so that all people in the entire known metaverse and beyond are aware and show-up in-VX to check it out. Easy for the right person...
- Curate our Rezzable Grid = buy some cool art stuff from builders/artists and put it out on our grid to share the amazing and the possible with people. It is sorta like a giant sculpture garden (no weeds, unless needed).
- Coordinate events and manage virtual experience staff.
- Help us try to break all the known features on OpenSim -- we want to generate as many bug reports as possible and figure out which ones are worth addressing and fixing.
This is work and you want role with us. It is not a staff job, but maybe could be become one. We would start with a 3-6 month contract and then take it from there. We are open to all kinds of ideas on how many hours a week/month are possible. We might be able to have more than one person working on this. This is a new thing and a great chance for the right person to dive-in and make incredible things happen. We have some budget in real $USD to compensate for work here in the range of $500-$1250/month.
