Vint and I been hammering away at the website today. Stumbled across this hardcore fantasy dude and his WoW-Pod. Good call on putting the fridge near the keyboard. Maybe should make the chair a loo? Not sure about how "powerful" he is in WoW, but he sure got a lot of affiliate stuff on his website.

Wed, 08/06/2008 - 20:31 — Ravin LunaseaNever played World of Warcraft... and seeing stuff like this only gives me reason to avoid it! Besides, I like the freedom of being able to do whatever, that SL offers... WoW seems more of a "gamer's game", with an objective and levels and stuff. Sure, it's fun to play games sometimes... but it's a lot more fun to have the option to goof around. That's also why I like playing Grand Theft Auto once in a while (I don't have the new one--I'm talking about San Andreas)... yeah, the game's focus is interesting enough; but it's so much more entertaining to punch in a few cheat codes and fly farm tractors around or set pedestrians on fire than to stick to the primary point of the game, y'know?
Ravin, do you really assume

Thu, 08/07/2008 - 03:01 — Ravin LunaseaMaybe, maybe not... but every time I hear about World of Warcraft I always think back to that one South Park episode a year or two ago that used WoW as a major plot element. It was pretty funny, really--although the people they were making fun of obviously aren't the majority, with SL or WoW.
Another funny thing about that episode of South Park was that it was pretty much a whole lot of fervor and effort to stop a griefer. Sure, an AR is simpler... but it just isn't as satisfying as giving into the temptation to hand a wee dose of the same kind of medicine back where it came from, you know?
Besides--there's nothing wrong with geeks. Geeks make the world go 'round (except for griefers).
