Profile Magazine Today on King Tut Virtual

Sophia Yates on King Tut VirtualSophie Yates at Profile Magazine Today has written a review on King Tut Virtual, spicing it up with a neat machinima. Miss Yates says this is the first time she saw this level of visual imagery quality with objects in this virtual world. Yeey! More friendly words: "I really saw the 3D effect there and the interaction for the viewer that was provided was very well done."

"There are quit a few good exhibits going on now but this ones the best 3D, interactive one that really demonstrates how in the future virtual worlds like SL can be applied to so many other subjects either it be history, in the medical field or in the classroom."

They have - crash - landed in Second Life, joined the Tinies at Tiny Shotengai, constructed a complete lawn, got into fishing and joined their share of parties and events from wrapping Xmas gifts over organsing a massacre to the giant cockroach population to helping celebrate Second Life turning 5 years young.

Caption Contest - Interim Results

Freaky Flower Caption ContestSome great minds have already submitted quite a few even greater captions for Lokum's snapshot of a n00b and a greyscale flower avatar at the Morris Welcome Hub. Yet, there is still time to submit your brilliant caption until Wednesday March 11th. Your chance to win 2000 L$, just for being funny! :) Some of the superb entries up to now:

"Live from the Cornfield", music now available for download

Foolish Frost, "Live from the Cornfield" (banned inSL show)Foolish Frost performance for OpenSim's 2nd birthday was a real blast. We were only a few avatars on the PGA - y'all do know registration is now open to all?! - but the atmosphere & stress testing fun was definitely there. And we've managed to crash the sim (only?) once! ;) Crimson Shadow was as good as full - I did not count the green dots - and I guess Foolish' words "Cause I can bairly move, and the sim's going boom" summarized that experience well.

Slashmeloves Prim Real Tshirts & Virtual Accessories Launch

Rezzable is very proud to announce the fabrication of Real Life Tshirts stating "/me <3 prim" (read "slashme loves prim"). After lots of thinking, about the nature of Second Life, virtual worlds and what is essential to it, we found that we are no where without prims & plywood: no building, no neat attachments, nothing to sit upon, no particles, nothing to put a script in, ... . Hence, we decided to honour the force that is Prim, and show our love for it with a large batch of "slashmeloves prim" real life tshirts, in all colours and sizes imaginable. Well, in pink, grey and white, but that's already quite a few, no? ;) Order yours here, if you do that before February 5th, there are no shipping costs.

The Man Behind The Barrel? Orhalla Zander's 'real life' representative.

Those who visit Rezzable regions regularly will have noticed: the hobo community moved in recently. Now the head-hobo Orhalla Zander has an engaged an atomic to relay his orders, notices, event invites and best wishes for 2009 to the hobos through YouTube video message. Mr Oz hopes this will save him time on writing notices and clearing out misunderstandings about what "Oz said". The payment this poor atomic gets in exchange for his 'representative duties'? Of course, a can of beans, hobo-style. But, well, the atomic seems to enjoy it:

New Year's resolutions... even avatars make them. What are yours?

New Year's resolutions is something 'atomics' are bound to do. We might not always write them down, but at the beginning of each year, we say "this is what I'm going to do different", or "this is what I want to achieve". No miracle that this reflects on our avatar behaviours. So what did your avatar plan for 2009? Click here to vote in our poll.

Cleaning out the inventory & keeping it organised. You're a practical person, liking everything tidy & neat. But you're always busy in-world, and 'inventory management' is something you don't always have the time for. This year, from start to end, you're going to be tidy. Every notecard will go in the correct folder, every 'object' prim that's no use will be deleted. "Keep it under 10,000!!!" is your motto. Until the 1st of March when you'll start to slack off again.
