Avatar Song
'The Avatar song' is a SL parody on the tunes of Nickleback's 'Rockstar' tunes. Famous for it's great sence of humour and a self-relativating look the Second Life that we call our virtual homes, the original Avatar song contains references Second Life 'clichés' such as 'pixel boom boom', 'sexgen & x-cite', 'the elbow room', 'the FIC', 'Anshe Chung', ... .
Have a listen (and a 'bump'? ;)):
Prim in my Hand
A real builder's song, that's how Foolish Frost describes 'Prim in my Hand', a parody song based on... nah, we're not going to tell yet. You should come and listen for yourself, or check our music page the day after Foolish's gig.
Foolish Frost?
Those who know Mr Frost know that - unless forced - he's not the most talkative guy, he just... hangs around. So, after a pile of virtual threats, Foolish agreed to introduce himself to those few avatars that never heard of him:
Hullo all, I'm Foolish Frost.
Yeah, I know. Big Whoop.
Anyway, I have been politely asked to write up something about myself for the rezzable website, and since I'm a such of an attention whore anyway, I though “What's the worst that can happen?”
<Foolish Frost looks around for lightning strikes aimed at him from the clear blue sky...>
Oh, good! Nothing happened!
I was rezzed a poor SL immigrant from the Real World (patent pending), on a deserted island. It was a strange time, filled with bottomless warehouse inventories, talking birds, bouncy balls that refused to move, and my eyes being yanked out of my head so I could watch myself have my arms and legs spread like I was on a rack.
Yeah... Good times...
<coughs>
From there, I learned to fly, then crash, then hit trees, and impacted a building that sent me on to the rest of the world where I could meet... Other Avatars!
At which point I was offered sex by five different girls, give a weapons arsenal that I carry to this very day, figured out how to ride a motercycle (and how to avoid sim borders), and was shown how to rez PRIMS...
Ah, prims. Like mana from heaven. I was so proud of myself when I figured out how to move it around. And then color it. And even add a badly sized image to it that should never of been given the honor of being called a 'texture'.
It was only after I made a few things that I realized, there was something called 'scripts' that I could use to make things DO things.
Then prims went from being mana FROM heaven, to becoming heaven itself. You scripters know what I'm talking about, eh? EH?
Now, by this time, I had actually figured out how to mod my avatar, and proceeded to make the handsome devil you see now. Aside from clothing, I've just about remained the same for over 3 years now. And don't plan on changing anytime soon. And for the record, I LIKE my hair, and am NOT using prim hair. Nyah. So there.
In my SL history, I have built places such as Ravenglass Tower, Aztecha, TWO sim-sized trees (Techra and Leo Burnette are both sadly gone now), Toxic Garden, helped on dozens of Rezzable builds by sitting on a cube to make sure it didn't get away while others worked, and a ton of others I can't remember due to advancing years. I've built toys and gadgets of every shape and size, and generally have been told so many times I'm one of the top scripters in SL, that I'm actually starting to believe it a little.
I've worked for old Prok Neva (Hey Prok, how's it going?), Edgware Marker, Millions of us, and currently, Rezzable.
As it is, I plan on designing for the online world for a long time to come, and SL specifically. Some of you may ask what that has to do with songs and parody. Well, I have a good answer for you: Nothing. I'm just a crazy old Fool. Make what you will of it all.
