Greenies audition for movie role

greenies go real (a bit more)Greenies have done their bit of travelling and exploring in the Virtual World. They have - crash - landed in Second Life, joined the Tinies at Tiny Shotengai, constructed a complete lawn, got into fishing and joined their share of parties and events from wrapping Xmas gifts over organsing a massacre to the giant cockroach population to helping celebrate Second Life turning 5 years young. SL's growing pains drove them to OpenSim, where they arrived in style. Last week, when trying to repair an old Zapgun v1.0, lead-greenie Verde discovered a hidden option in the weapon's menu stating "ray tracing'. Verde - for once being wise and careful - decided to check with Foolish Frost what that 'ray tracing' does before enabling it. Mr Foolish knows that although Greenies are 'intelligent life', they are not that fond of complicated tekkie-talk, and gave them a simple explanation: "Well, Verde, ray tracing means that with a bit of effort, you can render something meshy, virtual into something that looks real." *sighs* Yeah, it wasn't the smartest thing Foolish' did in his career as Greenie-advisor, as the whole Greenie population started shouting: "We want! We want!" and firing zapguns at random.

No Greenies or Rezzable employees were harmed during this little alien uproar, but it did lead to Verde confronting RightasRain on royalties last week and demanding a movie career. We must admit we haven't seen Foolish since, but assume Greenies have taken him somewhere where he can work quietly on launching their film career. If you have any tips on where they might have taken him, feel free to mail vint (ta) rezzable dot com with that information. Please, do not report  Greenie-sightings to 911 or any other emergency number, as they'll only catch our Greenies for horrible experiments.  And, Foolish, if you read this: "We love you! We miss you! We'll play your songs every day until they let you go! Hang in there!"

We're pretty sure Foolish is still alive, as a video of Verde auditioning for what we think might be Aliens vs. Monsters vs. Greenies surfaced on YouTube last night. To be honest, after watching the video - embedded below or on YouTube - we think Verde will need some more practice, more Foolishes, props, a helmet and a huge render farm before he can start his career as the next ET, but extraterrestrials may have dreams too, right?

PS. For those doubting the 'force' within 3D programs, check out this image on wikipedia, pretty real, no? :)
