2010 Revealed. You Need To Read This.

Everyone is telling us that life is coming to an end. The financial market has crashed, the population has exploded beyond all sustainable means. And however hard we try to pull together  now and fix the world? It doesn't matter. The Mayan Calendar says that humanity is coming to an end in 2012. Bullshit, says I.

So the people who brought you Swansong decided to celebrate the enduring power of the human race with the epic event    2010 - The Future Is Now.

It's a spectacular planned to show the vision of our top designers in the fields of fashion and cybercouture; where they see human life evolving to in the future. And it's being hosted at Greenies, one of the most beloved showcase sims in Second Life. This is what the brilliant creators participating imagine how humanity will look  once we've spread ourselves across the stars. It will be robosexual, novametal, cyberpunk starfunk spacejunk, and it will be very, very hot. You'll be able to choose from all  kinds of wearable goodies which we will feature in fashion shows and spray across the blogosphere and I promise you that it will not just be twenty seven silver minidresses. It's set to kick off on the 17th of January in the year 2010 and run for three weeks so mark that date down now.

We've sent out our first round of invitations and we have some awesome names joining the design team for this event. We have returning favourites and an array of exciting new creators, as well as some rather...  interesting surprises planned. And now we are at step two, this is where we invite people to join us if they think they may want to tackle this challenge and show off their vision to the grid. We are especially looking for skin, shoe and hair creators at the moment, however there are still a few places open for all categories. If you think you may want to know more about this and find out what's involved, message Winter Jefferson or Lokum Shilova inworld.

For everyone else - just get ready to be dazzled. Set phasers to stun and faces to stunned. And prepare to be beamed to a distant galaxy far far away where you will be assimilated...  have I forgotten any cliches?
