Viewer 2.0 arrives.  And with it, prims that can display live web pages.   Pages that show any video – not just Quicktime.  Flash.  Probably any video that will play on a browser   All of YouTube is now in our hands.  Web links that you can click on.  Web pages you can scroll through.

 Just like your browser.  But wait, there’s more!   On the web, there are millions around you but you are always alone.  In Second Life, you can call in your friends to look at that same page. 

• To watch that video you just made. 
• To look over your new web page design.
• To share an old move, spiced with new comments.
• To talk to an audience from web content that they share now and can access later.

Slaton Linden sent me some sample prims  and instructions on how to make a web prim on my own.  I found the instructions easy to follow and made my own web-prim.  It is at the Hobo Helpers Headquarters at Rockcliffe

Linden Lab (creators of Second Life) is having our FIRST Virtual Recruiting Event on Wednesday, November 18th for the QA Team.  We are looking for SR. QA engineers, QA Managers and Automation Engineers for all of our locations!  So, if you like to break stuff and understand why it broke, enjoy taking a vague description of a bug and defining it as well as reproducing the problem, are passionate about improving the Second Life experience and are smart, creative and passionate, then you might be a Linden!

On my first tour of Rezzable's Heritage Key site dedicated to King Tut, and when the entire project was quite new, I was taken by the South Wall of the young king's tomb. It was an immersive moment; I felt that I was as close to the actual site in Egypt as I'd ever get.

The everpopular Rezzable Greenies will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary come this August 15th, and that means fun, fandom, and of course -- contest! And what better contest to have for the summer heat than a bikini one?! Oh, and t-shirts too!

Bikini/T-Shirt Design Contest!

That's right. It's time to brush up those Photoshop and/or GIMP skills and try your hand at clothing creation! In the zip file provided here, you will find two templates for your use (PSD format): a bikini template and a t-shirt template. Both are basic, include shading and wrinkles, and are fully free for your use in this contest (should you need them)! Last week Vint's parking skills was part of the captions. Our winners are as follows :

Last week, all of our followers were in great humour as we have received endless amounts of wonderfully funny captions. But I must say there were some better ones and here are the winners :

Rezzable set a little challenge for the machinima lovers to produce a short film using the royalty free version of the music 'St. Louis Blues' by William Christopher Handy, written in 1914. Announcing the winners of this challenge:

Ciskovan's 'Men die as dogs' die grabs the first prize with a dramatic and a powerful short film featuring the cast who are the characters of his DREAM ON/OFF movie – you can watch the episodes on his site in a you tube album with the same title. Congratulations to cisko vandeverre on his great work and good luck in his future filming.
