Crimson Memories - Winter's Retrospective

I was as shocked as anyone by the big announcement. Sure, I knew about the Heritage Key grid, but I didn't know that events would happen as they have. I was assured that day that this site, the Rezzable blog was going to stay a part of Second Life. But it wasn't until the dead of night that it hit me right in the centre of my chest - this meant that Crimson Shadow was going.

With thanks to Khitten Kurka of Kiss Kiss for modeling

I remember the first time that I went to Crimson Shadow. I glanced around at all of the clothing and winced -- damnit, my Lindens were going to evaporate from my pocket. Crimson Shadow -- and all of the Rezzables fashion shows really -- have always gotten together and inspired some of my favorite designers. I'll be sad to see this go. The inspiration, venue, and event have always been worth looking forward to, and the Swan Song will be both sad and happy.

Going, But Never To Be Forgotten

As you know by now, after the 15th of July Crimson Shadow, The Carnival of Doom and The Tunnel of Light will be moving on from Second Life. So many beautiful clothes have been created for these sims, and it would be a shame to let them disappear without fanfare.

Crimson Shadow - Visit Rezzable's Virtual World Locations

Walking a mile in another person's shoes

SL is much like playing digital barbies in a lot of ways.  We can buy tons of outfits, shapes, and hair.  We can setup dream houses and fly around in jets.  My inventory is chock full of accessories.  So many shoes, jewels, and outfits that would make a seven year old green with envy.  Even with all that loot, I was fighting the weekend blah.  My friends were uber busy, I had conquered the hair fair lag, been to SL6B, the RL weather was lousy, and there was nothing on the TV.  So in an effort to shake things up, it was time for another experiment: a significant and drastic change.  Enter December Immortal Barbie...I mean avatar.

Mary Mayhem - Fire Goddess Created by Rebel Designs

Rebel Hope and Rezzable have done many projects in the past. The Wishbringer  outfit which was part of the Fashion Inspired by Black Swan was a great big success. Fire Goddess idea started from this wonderful ensemble and turned it one sexy hot outfit all designed around the Mary Mayhem model by the talented great designer Rebel Hope.

Crimson Shadow Lucky Chair

It has been a while since we have changed the Crimson Shadow Lucky Chair item. This time I couldn't help but choose one of the favourite outfits of Crimson Shadow. The set contains a tattoo, chocker, beautifully textured long coat with hot pants . Simple but yet elegant and extremely gothic. An ensemble that has to be in your inventory. It's a great outfit to mx and match with high boots and lots of accessories. Its now available at the shop level in Crimson Shadow.

Immortals Photo Contest

You have met the real Mary Mayhem yesterday and soon we will be uploding a real hot video of the real and virtual self of Mary Mayhem. In the mean time, I would like to announce the photo contest - Rezzable Immortals . Who can you make her to be. You choose to be Mary Mayhem or December doesn't matter.  All we ask is to use the shape and the skin of these models , dress them up or dress them down. What you create and how you present the model is the most important. This morning I have played around with these two photos .

Here I pose wearing the  Mary Mayhem full avatar with the ubersexy The White Shadow dress especially designed by Sweetest Goodbye for The Killer Designers Show  in Crimson Shadow . I hope you will enjoy the challenge.

Where do all the cool kids hangout??

On numerous occasions my fellow SLifer posse and I have combed the grid looking for something to do.  However, it always ends about the same....search tool/blog....find event/club.....mostly empty....search tool/blog....find event/club...wash/rinse/repeat.  We invariably would end up at one of the few places we always haunt.  It's curious to me, as I roam the grid, there is rarely anyplace packed besides a few clubs I know that are ALWAYS full.  It led me to ask the question, what do the rest of 70K+ people on the grid do?  I decided to put my mind to the task and find out.

Armed with the SL grid maps, the plan was this:  look for high concentrations of the green dots.  The more the better was the goal.  I dressed casually as I had not a clue to where the adventure would lead me...but I was excited at the opportunity to find new and different spots using a new approach.

Travelogue: Izumiya

izumiya02

Got a Linden and a dream? Whenever I'm feeling bored yet poor in Second Life I attach a Japanese freebie, inspect for the creator, and start surfing picks. That's what led me to the Japanese hair shop of CriCri one day, not even the main store but one located on the Izumiya sim. The shop is tiny and packed with cuteness -- reasonably priced fluffy locks for men and women, and superbly wacky 1L creations based on anime. The hat with hair that I'm wearing is one of the store freebies, complete with a size-changing script. After changing my hair, I stepped out onto the crowded streets to look around...
