Friday, April 19th 2009 - It's 11:50am SLT and sweat collects itself in my helmet. 3 weeks organization and now it finally starts. The big spring festival. I am excited but also very nervous. Hopefully the guests like the decoration and find their way to the stage area. The SL event calender shows our festival, flyers and posters are out since 2 weeks, I got already the stream urls of the live musicians and send notices out now. Ufff. Did I forget something? Hmm. I don't think so. 12:06pm SLT: The first guests arrive and the stage area fills slowly. Zorch is ready and the show can begin! The clock shows 12:24pm SLT and i get a message from the 3rd live performer of today's daily. Artel Brando: "I can't be ther e... they changed my other gig to 1-2pm SLT and i'm not able to do 2 hours live set without break". Nuuuuh! But his situation is understandable. Luckily i have my fantastic hostess Sarlah which helps me out and offers to DJ one hour to cover the gap. *hugs* 12:45pm SLT: The festival revives and I count 36 people now. Zorch is a great musician and right after him performs Maximillion Kleene, a big fan of our green community.

This week's 'Caption Contest' photograph was one of the most fashionable faeries ever encountered posing with one of the biggest sugar pots to have ever existed in Second Life. There were quite a few absolute hilarious captions, but there can only one be the best (and the winner of 2,500L$).So, without further ado - Hey! Finally it's spring again. The garden blossoms, the earthworms bask in the rain, the birds twitter and the frogs spawn in the puddles. The Greenies enjoy the lively nature very much and would love to celebrate this inspired season with a big Spring Festival! It takes place at Greenies Lawn Rezzable on the weekend after Easter. 3 days full of live musicians, RL DJs and fun on a gigantic scale. April 17th - 19th.

Our green friends tried a lot of special sports since they arrived in the big house: cockroach hunting, slug racing, worm striking, bubble bursting, iceball fighting, sim destroying, paper boat sailing, ... and more. But until now, fishing was an unknown thing for them!

Rezzable presents the 2008 Global Music Festival live on the grid, sponsored by Languagelab. The festival is a month long showcase for live DJs and performers working with non-English based lyrics and international beats. Great sounds and energy will flow across the metaverse. Starting September 3rd running till the end of September, the festival will be hosted across the more than 20 rezzable virtual world areas.

Lately, people seem to blame Greenies for everything: extinction of the dinosaurs, high fuel prices, ... and now also inventory loss. I must admit, I did chuckle twice or trice, when coming across these photographs in Dakota Yue's Flickr Stream. Although Greenies only wanted to lend a hand - and hoverboard-, using their speedy vehicles for the purpose of helping Miss Yue sort her inventory & move without her getting back injuries, she all of the sudden started screaming: 'Hold the thiefs! This is an inventory loss plot!'

Where the normal Greenies Hooverboard was mostly known for it's speed and racing capabilities, the Midnight Hooverboard has all that and adds a stylefish, futuristic, black with neon exterior to it.  Adapting a more human and less extraterrestrial product design, the Greenies design team has outdone itself yet again!

Hi all, I need some advice on virtual love! As you might know, I am currently engaging in a relationship with Miss Kryptonia, and don't be mistaken, I love her dearly! Although both our schedules are that busy that they do not always allow us to meet, I cherish every moment I get to spend with her. 

Greenies are looking for entertaining and enthusiastic staff members - DJ's and Hosts - to help entertain and enlarge an large audience of new residents as well as seasoned Greenies fans.  Payment happens in L$ and there is a wide range of extralegal benefits: cars, avatars, backpacks, clothing, ... depending on how enthousiastic you are.  We appreciate people that are not scared to take initiative, throw theme parties, enjoy sports (zapgun shooting, racing, skating, hunting roaches, ...) peepz that know how to get a crowd going. Evenly important is not being allergic to virtual roaches and knowing how the invite to group button works. Oh, and we just love people who want to give blogging about Greenies Events a try and can handle SL snapshotting & Flickr. Speaking & typing multiple languages is an advantage.
