2010 - How Do Your Shards Grow?

2010 - How Do Your Shards Grow? I

Last I reported, I left with the sorrowful prospect of sentience thrown away. But with the dark, there is light, and with a negative outlook of the future, there is an optimistic one awaiting. As current issues ask what we throw away, they also pose the question, "What will we grow in the future?"

Azul's and The Stringer Mausoleum's Future at Rezzable

While taking pics for this, my final post for Rezzables 2010 the future is now event, I started to reminisce about Peter Pan suddenly. Believe me I know how that sounds a futuristic event and I think about Peter Pan, a kids fairytale that actually takes place in the past. Yet the outfit I am about to show off in this post reminded me of the story not really of Peter himself but his little Fairy Tinkerbelle. I don't know how old fairies actually can get, but I refuse to believe or think about fairy death. So lets say she lives now in 2010 and likes to look fly and hip and sexy :P what would she wear?

My Halloween

I'm in an interesting and confusing position. I'm a vampire. Sometimes I'll go so far as to brag that I'm THE vampire. And yet...  we don't really celebrate Halloween in Australia. Thank god for the global community of Second Life, eh? Because that gives me a chance to waltz around the graveyards with an Undead beauty on my arm and celebrate all that is witchy, wicked and wild. I had three Halloween costumes for this year - one for Role Magazine, one to make Achariya wet herself laughing on her personal blog and finally the one that I actually ended up wearing for the day. Yes, I crossed to the even darker side for the Samhain and became a World of Warcraft elf for a day.

Cosmic Traveller - Helena Stringer's First Dress!

Helena Stringer of The Stringer Mausoleum has been a friend of Rezzable's for over a year now. She first collaborated with us on the fashion event "Inspired By Crimson Shadow." So far, she's been mostly known for her hairs. I'm never given the chance to forget this, as my friend Winter never shuts up about them. She also makes eyes and accessories like demon horns, but she has finally released a new dress, the Cosmic Traveller. Now this made me sit up and take notice!

Swansong: Dark Water

 Dark Water I

The Black Swan is characterized by large, dynamic structures throughout the sim. These outcroppings of rock and art are the main features of the land, but surrounding them all is a vast sea. While not the center stage, the water illuminates the effigies and allows them to truly stand out amongst each other. Truly, the area would not cast the same awe on visitors if they were enclosed by earth.

Similarly, the articles taking center stage at the Swansong event are primarily female. However, there are masculine partners to a few pieces that help showcase the feminine beauty of their counterparts. One such companion is Blue Blood’s Oceanic Sonata.

Swansong: Remnant of Air

 Remnant of Air I

The phrase “seeing is believing” has circled about conversations for ages. And for equally as long, the string of words has been tested and disproved. Nothing so clearly crushes this idiom as air: invisible to the eye, yet completely surrounding us. It’s constant presence makes the element easy to forget, but our lives depend on it to be there; and while we normally move through it freely, the right conditions can whip it up into deadly winds.

In the storm of the Swansong, the Sweetest Goodbye has unleashed the Placebo.

Swansong: Through the Flames

 Through the Flames I

Fire. The element that dances. Even when ancient man captured the first flame, it retained its trappings of fear and awe. The dynamic essence has twirled throughout the human psyche and tangoed with myths. One of its legendary partners is readily recognizable across the globe – the dragon – and both can bend and twist in a myriad of ways.

And what better to trap both in than the flowing frock of Laughing Academy, Candace Aflame?

Swansong | Oceanic Sonata

Water is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. It was commonly associated with the qualities of emotion and intuition. According to Aristotle, water is both cold and wet, and occupies a place between air and earth among the elemental spheres.

I dyed my hair in a greyish tone with the new hair from The Stringer Mausoleum to show the dress created by Ghanima Uriza from Blue Blood SL fashion. The Oceanic Sonata is a beautiful turquoise gown. Along with the gown, the set includes the necklace and gloves. The skin is by Ryker Beck of Exodi and his one of the new makeups especially created for the Swansong. You can check all the beautiful creations at the Black Swan sim
