With the announcing of the winners of the Swansong Elements Flickr competition, our final Black Swan fashion event draws to a close. I'll be the first to admit that I'm biased, but I happen to think it was pretty damn epic. It wouldn't have been half as spectacular as it was without the hard work and amazing creativity of a lot of people. We have the team of designers who were brave enough to trust us with their hard work. Some of these people have worked with Rezzable before, and it's wonderful to welcome back old friends.

Callie Cline's submission for this show is as fun, flirty and striking as the woman herself. It's a memorial reissue of her dress recreated for the first ever Black Swan fashion event, "Passions" - and it was named Swansong then. How very fitting that it's one of the features of this event!

Swansong is a complete ensemble, with the jewellery you can see created by Nebulosis Severine.

After Mister Morrigan Denimore was invited to participate in The Swansong he chose Air as his element, but with his male creation he brought to it an aspect that had never crossed my mind - smoke. His female submission Ephemeral - as shown by Achariya and Elusyve - was a sunlit dream composed of wafting feathers, but Lament is a sorrowful vision of darkness.

Ahawi - the Earth Goddess, recreated for The Swansong on the Native American skin that Ayesha Bisiani of [Skin Within] released in January 2008. Yet given new life with these tones and expressions of nature that spring from the eyes and curve delicately across the face.

There are just 10 days of The Swansong left, and the countdown has begun to the final showing of the collection on the 17th of August. We are holding this one at the friendly time of 6pm for those of you that work during the day... and my friends in Australasia. Plus there's going to be a fairly rocking afterparty when the models sashay off the runway around 7pm. The sim completely filled well before the Premiere and Redux showings, so if you missed those get to Black Swan early for Conclusion.

Sure, salamanders are real creatures, but there are legends that exaggerate the way we see them. They've also become a species of dragon, blaze and lava incarnate. June Dion from Bare Rose Tokyo has translated these tales with her unique dazzling touch and presented to The Swansong her vision of flame with the Fire Salamander sets. When these were debuted at the first show of the event, the Black Swan sim echoed with the gasps of admiration from the stunned spectators. I've borrowed one of the Avenue models that walked that show to show off the female version, Summer Deadlight. Because apart from anything else, her name is a lot more suitable than mine to be looking this hot.

Most people think we are all a happy blogging family here at Rezzable, and for the most part we are. There are a few of us that don't get on though, and that usually isn't a problem. Until I needed both my girl Elusyve Jewell and my friend Ersatz Charisma to shoot the Laughing Academy dresses for Swansong. Because these two do not like each other AT ALL.The reasons why are lost in the mists of time, and I had nothing to do with any of it. *cough* But they both fill these gowns beautifully and were online, so they were paged and hauled into the studio.

Swansong - Untamed Earth by Kavar Cleanslate

Of all the outfits submitted to The Swansong, the Untamed Earth by Exile was amongst the more fantastical. A high fashion Ent - well, what else would you expect from Kavar Cleanslate, denizen of New Zealand? Okay, so maybe it's not meant to be an Ent, it's an earthy wild man from legend - half tree, half human. Perfect for roleplay, and it raised whistles when it was modelled at the show, with murmurs coming from behind me that it was one of the sexiest things they had ever seen.
