2010 - Cybermancer by +DV8+

You can't have any kind of Cybercouture show in SL without one of the most forefront names in the genre, +DV8+. So of course they were right up the top of my list. I asked Vasha Martinek whether she was in, and the answer was a definate YES. And she created the amazing Razor Girl outfit that came with more options than my prim peen. I raved over this, of course - as you can see in Terry's blog it's terrific. Then a couple of days later the other creator in +DV8+ Dysturbed Sin dropped a male outfit on me, Cybermancer. I HAD NO IDEA. And I think I came close to actually humping his leg on the spot.

2010 - Kali-Bhadra by SN@TCH

Ivey Deschanel of SN@TCH is one of the creators in Second Life that Rezzable is more than happy to invite back for every event. 2010 - The Future Is Now is her fifth time participating with us, and she has not once failed to bring something interesting, astonishing and intrinsically Ivey. She visited Egyptian mythology with her Bast avatar for the Digital Alchemy event in April '09, and now she has further explored tales of humanity's faith with her Hindu Goddess Kali-Bhadra - but has blown her out in the most cybernetic tentacular way possible.

Violator's and Skin Within's Future now at Rezzable

2010 - The Future is Now | -AZUL- Mila

2010 - The Future Is Now and is happenning in every second we waste in pointless issues. What matters is now and how fast we want to enjoy our future.

Most science fiction novels and stories focus on alternate future or alternative futures where it is believed that the future is toxic. Errr... that the air is no longer breathable (thus the gas mask). In some of my dreams, this is how I portrayed the future. Note that an alternate future is not a possible future; it's merely how someone imagines the future.

What if we could time travel? Would you? Would your future be toxic...?

2010 - How Do Your Shards Grow?

2010 - How Do Your Shards Grow? I

Last I reported, I left with the sorrowful prospect of sentience thrown away. But with the dark, there is light, and with a negative outlook of the future, there is an optimistic one awaiting. As current issues ask what we throw away, they also pose the question, "What will we grow in the future?"

2010 - Little Mech Goddess

2010 - Little Mech Goddess I

As humanity races forward to the future, we have run smack into challenges that threaten to overthrow us. Over the past decade, the issue of environmentalism has swelled with our expanding global connections and consequences for past generations' actions come to the forefront. Therefore, when we look at is yet to be, it is not just relevant, but critical to consider the question, "What will we throw away?"

Azul's and The Stringer Mausoleum's Future at Rezzable

While taking pics for this, my final post for Rezzables 2010 the future is now event, I started to reminisce about Peter Pan suddenly. Believe me I know how that sounds a futuristic event and I think about Peter Pan, a kids fairytale that actually takes place in the past. Yet the outfit I am about to show off in this post reminded me of the story not really of Peter himself but his little Fairy Tinkerbelle. I don't know how old fairies actually can get, but I refuse to believe or think about fairy death. So lets say she lives now in 2010 and likes to look fly and hip and sexy :P what would she wear?

2010 - The Game of the Courtisane and The Unknown Century by Violator

Just in case the last few weeks wasn't an absolute giveaway...  I'm mad about the more exotic and innovative fashion that's possible in Second Life.  The thing is - gravity is no issue, and physics can be told to take a flying leap. Gowns can be created from silk and organza or they could be spun from light, cobwebs and zephyrs. Some designers simply GET this, and Soraya Vaher and Minx Glaz of Violator are amongst the best of those who do.

Some eldritch trail led me to their store just a few days before the Swansong event started in July.

2010 - The Future is Now | 3.6 zettabyte by Grim Bros.

One way or another the latest fashion adventure from Rezzable mades all think about the future. Some think about their own future, others reflect in the future as a concept and the designers for 2010 - The Future Is Now translated into clothing showing us how they perceived the future.

Cutea Benelli from Grim Bros. created the 3.6 zettabyte complete outfit (including shoes, skin and even shape which I am not using). The outfit is ultramodern with a mini skirt and a small top in a unique texture (that is almost impossible to catch on film.) To top it off, wearing the Ridley hair from Tiny Bird in Milk shade.
