2010 - Ophion and Echidna by Bare Rose

I think it's telling that when my best friend and blogging partner Summer Deadlight and I were exploring the Necronom for these photos, everyone we came across stopped to say "Hey, great outfits!" My response was the same each time - a  grin, and a comment of "Thanks! They are from Bare Rose, of course!" Yes, this actually happened. It's not just June Dion's biggest fanboi trying desperately to find an fresh intro for this post. But geez, it still would have been a good one even if I had made it up, eh?

My Halloween

I'm in an interesting and confusing position. I'm a vampire. Sometimes I'll go so far as to brag that I'm THE vampire. And yet...  we don't really celebrate Halloween in Australia. Thank god for the global community of Second Life, eh? Because that gives me a chance to waltz around the graveyards with an Undead beauty on my arm and celebrate all that is witchy, wicked and wild. I had three Halloween costumes for this year - one for Role Magazine, one to make Achariya wet herself laughing on her personal blog and finally the one that I actually ended up wearing for the day. Yes, I crossed to the even darker side for the Samhain and became a World of Warcraft elf for a day.

On Fire - Rezzable swansong event feat: B@R, Exile and Exodi

You're Hot and you're cold, or the other way around this is how i felt changing from the fabulous Melusine Gown by Evies closet into the Fire Salamander outfit by Bare rose. You know I often see songs as tiny episodes of our lives. As when you hear a song/ text and you feel related to it, it's because this person went through a similar situation as you do/ did. That always makes me feel connected to artists in a way. Never thought it is possible that you can feel the same way about clothing, although June Dion to me is a sort of artist. Her outfits tell stories considering how big her store in SL is, if she wrote Books she could out do J.K. Rowling in both categorys Book length and Book episode.

With a very heavy Japanese aesthetic, Bare Rose is a bright, glamorous spot with flashing lights and neon, covering an oriental design. The store itself is massive, built like a giant club riddled with paper-shacks and tea tables. The products here are all exceptional, as well as exceptionally priced, being typically anywhere from one hundred to two hundred Linden dollars for a full outfit. They have gothic, cyberpunk, modern, fantasy, grunge, etc, all with a touch of Anime or JRPG style, perfect for a wide variety of avatars or locations. With quite literally hundreds upon hundreds of various outfits, there's tons and tons to go through, meaning anyone looking to go shopping should probably pack a digital lunch.
