SL is much like playing digital barbies in a lot of ways.  We can buy tons of outfits, shapes, and hair.  We can setup dream houses and fly around in jets.  My inventory is chock full of accessories.  So many shoes, jewels, and outfits that would make a seven year old green with envy.  Even with all that loot, I was fighting the weekend blah.  My friends were uber busy, I had conquered the hair fair lag, been to SL6B, the RL weather was lousy, and there was nothing on the TV.  So in an effort to shake things up, it was time for another experiment: a significant and drastic change.  Enter December Immortal Barbie...I mean avatar. 

Happy Friday Everyone! The other day when Achariya mentioned that there is a sale in Silent Sparrow I couldn't help myself and TPed directly to the  main store right away. There is so much choice and all for half price. Spoilt by all the great colors and digital tailoring , it is hard to stop myself from splashing my Lindens. I love mixing Silent Sparrow pieces with some of the other styles in my Inventory. 

Here it goes I hope you like it too. I would like to show you the {blood} corset I picked in this blog.  My favourite part of this corset is the free tattoo that comes with it . I also love this shade of red and it perfectly  matches  with my favourite trousers from {{TRAP}}  

We came across Alissa Bright in Flickr and fell in love with her style of photography at first sight. She has done some commision work on our Immortals Model Avatar range which is available in Crimson Shadow  and they are gorgeous. I also wanted to take this apportunity to remind all photography lovers about our Photo Contest. It's approaching fast... we are almost at the middle of June and only two weeks to join the contest.

Lately, I have not been spending much time in Second Life and today I have realised how much I have missed it. The shopping, blogging, taking photos etc.

The first time I had to blog a fashion item I was terrified. First of all, I am not great with words, I don't know how to dress it up =) I just choose the simple, direct way when I communicate. But I do love taking photos and playing around with PS and creating an image.

At the end, I have this great appreaciation for wonderful bloggers that write extremely well, put together outfits in the most creative ways and always evolve ... Evolve in their way of writing, style, skills... It's a hell of a job and one must really enjoy it to give that daily effort and be there for the readers everyday .

Most believe that t-shirts represent casual, laidback, and some would even say sloppy.  However that is is not always the case.  The beautiful Nocturnal Models December and Mary Mayhem show just how sexy wearing a tee can be.  Ready for bed or a pillow fight, they have never made a t-shirt look so good! 

Crimson Shadow - Prelude Gown in Crimson Red

Its one of those grey London days and another pick me up blogs where I get to put a nice elegant gown and share it with you. 

As we are approaching Valentine's day I have chosen the deep crimson version of this stunning gown . Prelude has feathers, beautifully sculpted roses, perfect texture that give the gown its rich and deep red .

The skirt has layers of lace and feathers. As you walk it moves elegantly and your eyes get lost in the deep layers of richness..

The neck piece completes this outfit in the best way ever with a large rose on the right side along with some more feathers perfectly placed around the rose.

The neck piece being so eyecatchy its the right choice to have your shoulders open and  to have deep front cut.

I want you to think of something. Think of a goth girl. Do it quickly, don't think of someone specific you know, just in your head invent a girl, who is a goth. I'm guessing she'll look something like this: very thin, alabaster white skin, black (probably dyed) hair, lots of eyeliner, maybe some black lipstick. Am I right? This trick works for a lot of subcultures, for example, hip-hop girl, I'm guessing skin the darker side of tan, be it asian, mediterranean or black, but probably not an fair English Rose sort of complexion, a heart-shaped face and a large behind. Of course, it's not fair to suggest that everyone will see these things, but I'll bet a fair amount of people have visualized the types I described. It's interesting how stereotypes based on a person's interests influence what we expect them to look like, with no regard to what they may have put on, just their shape and colouring, the very things their choices of clothing have no influence over.
