                                         The Future Is Arriving

The dynamic essence has twirled throughout the human psyche and tangoed with myths. One of its legendary partners is readily recognizable across the globe – the dragon – and both can bend and twist in a myriad of ways.

And what better to trap both in than the flowing frock of Laughing Academy, Candace Aflame?

Ladies and gentlemen, furries and nekos, goths and goreans, and everyone in between! The Greenies are here to stay!

The everpopular Rezzable Greenies will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary come this August 15th, and that means fun, fandom, and of course -- contest! And what better contest to have for the summer heat than a bikini one?! Oh, and t-shirts too!

Bikini/T-Shirt Design Contest!

That's right. It's time to brush up those Photoshop and/or GIMP skills and try your hand at clothing creation! In the zip file provided here, you will find two templates for your use (PSD format): a bikini template and a t-shirt template. Both are basic, include shading and wrinkles, and are fully free for your use in this contest (should you need them)! Ladies and Gentlemen, I Present To You...

In the past, Rezzable has organised some wonderful fashion events in Black Swan. It all started with Fashion Inspired by Black Swan back in August 2008 . Then we had Passions of Black Swan, Winter Magic. Each and every single one was a great pleasure to organise and share with the fashion lovers, desginers, and bloggers. These events combine the magical side of Black Swan all built by the creative mind of Lightwaves with the passion of each designer that participate in the events and of course the wonderful SL community that support the hard work of the organisers and designers.

We started with Fashion Inspired by Black Swan, then  Passions of Black Swan, Killer Designers Fashion Inspired by Crimson Shadow and Winter Magic followed.

The diligent readers among you may have noticed that this particular blog is in fact a team effort, I, Nivaya Barbosa, am your writer, and the gorgeous photography, styling, and modelling in the pictures are provided by the beautiful SerinaJane Loon. For the most part, we're a smashing team, her photo-ing skills far outstripping mine, and my writing containing fewer typos than hers! There do, however, exist some difficulties in this arrangement on occasion, arising mainly from the fact that the stunner in the pictures is not actually me. Allow me to explain. Anyone who has seen Serina and I inworld together will know of the stark contrasts between our appearances, I being a petite, pale skinned, aqua-eyed, occasionally freckled redhead with a taste for the alternative and quirky, and Serina being tall, strong, athletic and dark skinned, and always looking as if she's stepped straight from the impeccable pages of Vogue. In this case, the particular difference is one of skin tone.

Love is in the air. Cupid is sharpening his arrows and sightening in his bow. For those of us already love stricken, we often find ourselves wanting to spend any and every moment we can with our better halves. Non? So, why not come on down to Club Haze sweep them off of their feet or dip them low in our vibrant atmosphere to the amazing tunes being played by none other than the one, the only Gecko Gorilla. Dancing in a dark room listening to seductive music, nothing better. RIght?

So, bring your lover with to Tunnel of Light, take them on a nice long ride for two through the sim in our lovely teacups, and bring them to the dance floor by 5 PM SLT on February the 18th, and for us that don't have somebody you are still...

The Laughing Academy is what the thinking Victorian wears. The outfits are witty twists on history, and this dress for Kings Rezzables is no exception. It's called "Theda Bara," and when I began to dig through Wikipedia, I found out in short order that Theda wasn't an Egyptian queen, but instead a silent film actress known for playing Cleopatra. What passed through my mind was this -- we never see history as it unfolded, wrapped up in the hum and buzz of the times. Instead, we always see it through the lens of our own time. In this case, the dress reveals a double lens, the ancient past as seen through the 1920s, then through our own eyes.

Ivey named her outfit Bastet, which is where I began my wander through mythos. She has cat ears and tail and skin as dark as the bottom of the Nile, and she prowled like a lioness through my imagination. Bastet was a dual goddess -- in the morning, a sleepy lioness in the sunshine; at night, a cat in the moon. She was born to Re, the sun god, who defeated his enemies in cat form. She gave birth to Khonsu the moon god, and she is all that is soft and dangerous at once.
