My Halloween

I'm in an interesting and confusing position. I'm a vampire. Sometimes I'll go so far as to brag that I'm THE vampire. And yet...  we don't really celebrate Halloween in Australia. Thank god for the global community of Second Life, eh? Because that gives me a chance to waltz around the graveyards with an Undead beauty on my arm and celebrate all that is witchy, wicked and wild. I had three Halloween costumes for this year - one for Role Magazine, one to make Achariya wet herself laughing on her personal blog and finally the one that I actually ended up wearing for the day. Yes, I crossed to the even darker side for the Samhain and became a World of Warcraft elf for a day.

Yesterday I sat and sorted inventory for a while on the camp chair at U&R Dogs. I'm wearing these amazing color-scripted armlets from U&R Dogs, and the rest of the jewelry is well worth checking out. (Thanks, as always, for the lovely tip, Beanie!) While camping there, I realized that I had a pair of gorgeous J's ankle boots that I hadn't written about yet.

Swan Song | Zaara : Vayu gown

It is quite easy to fell in love with the beautiful dress created by Zaara to the Swan Song. The dress was inspired in the element Wind (or Air) and has a rich texture work finishing in flowing leaves.

Vayu is the hindu word for air and is generally used in the sense of the physical air or wind.
In the hymns, Vayu is "described as having 'exceptional beauty' and moving noisily in his shining coach, driven by two or forty-nine or thousand white and purple horses. A white banner is his main attribute."

Swansong: Remnant of Air

 Remnant of Air I

The phrase “seeing is believing” has circled about conversations for ages. And for equally as long, the string of words has been tested and disproved. Nothing so clearly crushes this idiom as air: invisible to the eye, yet completely surrounding us. It’s constant presence makes the element easy to forget, but our lives depend on it to be there; and while we normally move through it freely, the right conditions can whip it up into deadly winds.

In the storm of the Swansong, the Sweetest Goodbye has unleashed the Placebo.

Swan Song - Water Nymph

Sometimes its the smallest things that make us happy.  In Second Life, for moi, two small things make me a happy consumer; when items come on all layers, and when multiple attachment points make sense, that the designer include these in your purchase.  Brandy Rasmuson  of Shine makes me very happy because she does this with her jewelry.  Here you can see, I am wearing both the choker and the necklace (and the bracelets) from her "Nereid" set which was for made for the Swan Song event., because, yes, for each item, she includes both the spine and the chest.  This also is wonderful when you are trying to work in jewelry with more ornate ensembles, as it sames you time (yes I am a lazy butt) from having to mod it to a different point yourself.  KK.. nuff gushing!

Del Mare - rezzable swansong event Feat. Evies Closet, *TSM* and Exodi

In my early days here in Second Life I was lucky chair hopping and after those freebies. In that time my inventory mainly was filled with Top & skirt combinations and Ball gowns. You heard right Ball gowns, well one reason might be that a ball gown is something you may not easily buy as you most likely wont wear it everyday besides you are Mui Mukerji she always looks like she is going straight to the Oscars and afterwards to the vanity fair party, you just gotta love her <3. Another reason probably is at that time there wasn't so many talented content creators or I hadn't discovered them by then. But the Bottom line is I wear ball gowns next to never, ever since. I just don't do "allot" of Ballroom dancing blame my boyfriend and my own lack of time: when I log in world, I work.

Princess Liante Elenia - Rezzable swansong event featuring Sky Everett, Elate and Exodi

Simplicity meets flamboyant and as always goes very well together. I learned one rule, you can't emphasize everything. One thing stands out and the rest goes with it in elegant demureness. For example you don't do heavy smoky eyes and fire red lips and lots of blush or you look like a clown if your not an avantgarde supermodel walking the runway. This is why I felt these two the Elenia dress by Elate and Princess Liante hair designed by Sky Everett with jewels go together so well.

Swan Song | INDI Designs - Water and Ice

In ancient Greek philosophy, Water was commonly associated with the qualities of emotion and intuition. It is one of the essential elements to maintain live on Earth. Water is also considered a purifier in religious Christianity, Hinduism, Rastafarianism, Islam, Shinto, Taoism, and Judaism.

Water is also believed to have spiritual powers but it was the Ancient Greek philosophers that treated water as an essential element.

This garment created by INDI Designs for the Swan Song has such versatility that it can be worn as a gown, as a cocktail dress or with a mini skirt dress. It also comes with beautiful sandals, hair adornment, gloves and water drops in the top  and legs.

On Fire - Rezzable swansong event feat: B@R, Exile and Exodi

You're Hot and you're cold, or the other way around this is how i felt changing from the fabulous Melusine Gown by Evies closet into the Fire Salamander outfit by Bare rose. You know I often see songs as tiny episodes of our lives. As when you hear a song/ text and you feel related to it, it's because this person went through a similar situation as you do/ did. That always makes me feel connected to artists in a way. Never thought it is possible that you can feel the same way about clothing, although June Dion to me is a sort of artist. Her outfits tell stories considering how big her store in SL is, if she wrote Books she could out do J.K. Rowling in both categorys Book length and Book episode.

Swan Song - Ephemeral Visions

Knowing how much thought and effort Mr. Morrigan Denimore of The Black Canary, dedicates to each of his creations, I had to look up the meaning of Ephemeral.  He could not have chosen a better term to encompass his creation as well as the fate of The Black Swan Sim.
