• After visiting the mischivious german carnival a couple of times the Greenies finally decided to enter the parade with a own cart! The motto of 2010: "Jekk läggt!? O.o The target: Turn the Jekken into Greenies! But how to turn crazy imps into submissive aliens? Allure them with roasted egg (Germans love those!) and free avatars!

The virtuell "Rose Monday" parade starts February 15 at 10am SLT in front of the cathedral in Cologne SL with a friendly "Alaaf". Many inworld institutions and groups like Magic Builder, GNC and the GREENIES will participate with their carnival carts. The festival moves at 11am SLT to Coblenz SL where the parade continues with a joyful "Helau"! The market girls welcome the track with their traditional dances at 12pm SLT in Munich SL. Ongoing we celebrate the motto "Greenie läggt" with a incredible aftershow party in Cologne and Munich.

Friday, April 19th 2009 - It's 11:50am SLT and sweat collects itself in my helmet. 3 weeks organization and now it finally starts. The big spring festival. I am excited but also very nervous. Hopefully the guests like the decoration and find their way to the stage area. The SL event calender shows our festival, flyers and posters are out since 2 weeks, I got already the stream urls of the live musicians and send notices out now. Ufff. Did I forget something? Hmm. I don't think so. 12:06pm SLT: The first guests arrive and the stage area fills slowly. Zorch is ready and the show can begin! The clock shows 12:24pm SLT and i get a message from the 3rd live performer of today's daily. Artel Brando: "I can't be ther e... they changed my other gig to 1-2pm SLT and i'm not able to do 2 hours live set without break". Nuuuuh! But his situation is understandable. Luckily i have my fantastic hostess Sarlah which helps me out and offers to DJ one hour to cover the gap. *hugs* 12:45pm SLT: The festival revives and I count 36 people now. Zorch is a great musician and right after him performs Maximillion Kleene, a big fan of our green community.

Fans have voted, and chosen their top 12 favorites to be shown in the Machinima Festival.  It was great to see people support the machinima makers and to perhaps find new favorites.  On Friday the 24th at the Cannery will be shown the 12 chosen machinimas.  Without further ado I will announce the top 12. 

With a landslide in votes Halden Beaumont took top honors for his beautiful machinima "Beyond Magic".  Next it was Mescaline Tammas with her fun music machinima "Duran Duran Second Life Machinima Mashup" featuring Duran Duran's classic songs.  Krrish Spyker's supernatural machinima "The Vistor" rounds out the top 3.  

We have had such a great response to the Machinima Festival Nominations, that we are extending the voting period till Sunday, Oct 19th.  So if you haven't had a chance to vote for your favorite machinima yet, now's the time to do so.  Be sure to check out the videos, and vote!  The most popular machinims at this moment:
