As Second Life turns 6, Linden Labs provides a vast virtual meteor of 20 sims which are both dark and glowy.  Some would say it's an odd setting for an occasion like a birthday party...as it sends the message of both uncertainty with some rays of hope.  However it is pretty indicative of most thoughts regarding this year's theme....the future. 

We have several frequent questions at the Hobo Island Community Gateway.  Two questions are about starter basics: changing appearance and going places.  I made two poster-givers to provide notecard  help for those questions.  (They are also in the Hobo Kit, but the posters make the notecards easier to fiind.)  

Another pair of questions represents a deeper view:

“What do people do here?  How do we play this game?”  

I made up a notecard answer to those questions with a little help from my hobo friends.  The notecard is in a giver at the Welcome Plaza along with a Welcome-to-Hobo-Island note.

Following is a copy ot the answer.  A few people will notice that this game concept is a lot like the game of living, starting with growing up.  But let’s keep that among ourselves.  Don’t spoil the game.  And never suggest that people might learn something useful from it.

WOW! Last Friday, I have put out 11 bags of wonderful goodies, real fun stuff and we had thousands of fans that came through to do  the hunt. The skull wellies in the photo was part of the hunt along with some gorgeous jewellery, Neko accessories, glowy mardi Gras masques and so forth. So i decided to do Part II of the Crimson Shadow Hunt this weekend Starting from Friday till Monday. I have gathered 11 Fun Cool items for you to collect in Crimson Shadow.  There are 11 shopping bags for you to find with some really sweet items inside;  from furniture, to skull belts, shoes, neko accessories, canes and so forth. So what are you waiting for, I know all of you love doing a bit of searching through a sim. The hunt is only for three days. Monday they all go back to my inventory ....
