Skull beneath the skin

webby01

Straight and sleek, some Halloween looks are eternal. There's something unearthly about hair so flat that it looks ironed, and paired with a figure-hugging sheath dress, the effect is Mortitia-esque. Plastik just released a series of perfect Halloween skins in which the skeleton very subtly shows through the epidermis. Creepy and pretty, the grey skin tone is a fitting colorless background to the lightly edged bones.

Along with this skin, Schadenfreude's new Tish hair is long and straight and evocative of a certain gothic lady... The hair highlights the bare shoulders of this dress by Sangre Noir, "12", a nicely textured gown for those primly sexy days.

++ Blue Blood++ new release Loreana

It's the last hours of Black Swan and  I have taken the path one more time and probably for the last time in Second Life. While I was snapping some photos I have realised  I was wearing a a Blue Blood dress for the closing of Crimson Shadow and here I am wearing a new release from Blue Blood for the last walk in Black Swan.

Gothic Rococo - Rezzable swansong event featuring Rfyre, Tiny Bird and Exodi

Rezzable events are always so versatile you find something for every taste, no matter if your looking for casual or fancy, fantasy or reality, Barbie look or Gothic. I just recently saw a report about a couple who married but in a slightly different manner. She didn't wear a white dress she was Gothic bride with a black gown black flowers and a tophat as counterpart the groom had worn a white tailcoat.

Swan Song: The Black Canary's Ephemeral

tbc01

The neck-piece on the Ephemeral dress by The Black Canary is so ornate that I had to show it off. I donned my modifiable shape and made the neck longer and longer and longer... The rest of the dress has just as many embellishments, with an attachable skirt and train, and dangling pearls from the bust-line. The train is a work to behold, dangling to the floor in a wash of tulle and stiff silk, be-ribboned and be-bowed. The outfit is topped by a feathered and pearled hat, and (if that wasn't quite enough richness), a waft of feathers emerge when one stands about.

I'm wearing it with another lovely skin from Exodi, a dark-lipped one that suits the mood of the dress. The skin tone has a sweet cinnamon touch to it, a lush shade that doesn't overemphasize the cheek or eye. The hair is Tiny Bird's high-piled red tresses, The Killing Moon in Ginger. It is an updo that brings a splash of color to this elaborate pale-on-pale ensemble.

Metaverse Style: Gothic Wa

Gothic Wa style for Rezzables.

Gothic Wa (and the accompanying style Gothic Qi) is based upon an integration of traditional Asian fashions with the Lolita sensibility. Gothic Wa is the more Japanese of the Asian-inspired styles, and Gothic Qi encorporates elements of Chinese style. Important to the look is a sense of historic Asian drama -- long kimono sleeves, high wooden geta shoes, and an emphasis upon an obi or corset-wrapped waist.

Crimson Shadow Lucky Chair

It has been a while since we have changed the Crimson Shadow Lucky Chair item. This time I couldn't help but choose one of the favourite outfits of Crimson Shadow. The set contains a tattoo, chocker, beautifully textured long coat with hot pants . Simple but yet elegant and extremely gothic. An ensemble that has to be in your inventory. It's a great outfit to mx and match with high boots and lots of accessories. Its now available at the shop level in Crimson Shadow.

Metaverse Style: Gothic Oujisama

loliboi03

Frilled and dandified, Elegant Gothic Boy or Oujisama (prince) style is the next installation in this series on Gothic Lolita fashion. Reminiscent of the main character from Little Lord Fauntleroy, the style is inspired by boy outfits from the early Victorian - Edwardian eras. Bloomers are the most important point of the style, as well as strict coats (with tails or without) and an ankle-sock or plain stocking beneath heavy shoes.

A phantom beast

gryphon03

The best thing about being human in Second Life is how inhuman you can become. I am half bird and half cyborg-faerie-goat today, strutting around in my Gryphon digiboots from Lazy Places and my horned crown from Fade Dana. Perhaps my look anticipates the faerie realm in the cyberpunk age, when beasts have cybernetic implants and the Sidhe all carry Blackberries. The boots were made by Lazy Places for Black Swan, exactly the kind of dangerous gear that a bird-cyborg-faerie-goat would wear around town.

Winged thing

wingyrezzables02

When I first began playing Second Life, the most exciting thing about the world was my ability to fly. I soon realized that people made wings -- not to help me fly, but to add to the illusion of it. I found dark feathers and bright ones, leaf-like and bat like, huge and sternly arched or small and delicately boned. Apparently I wasn't the only one fixated with flying in Second Life, there is a huge culture of winged beings in the world, and the people that adorn them.
