Confessions of the addiction to feathers, gowns and Kuranosuke Kamachi

I'm going to let you all in on a secret. Well, it's not much of a secret, really, but, consider yourselves privileged nonetheless. I am terrified of birds. Their pointy beaks, their scratchy claws, their hollow bones, the frenzied way they flap their wings when they're taking off...There is just one thing that doesn't make me run gibbering to hide under the nearest bench when a bird comes within 5 feet of me. Feathers. Feathers are amazing things. The way they can be stiff and sleek, or soft and bouncy and warm, and the way they're constructed, tiny wisps and tendrils clinging to a central stem, waterproofing or insulating their owner, helping them glide through the sky. And they make fantastic fashion accessories, too!

Locks of Style for Locks of Love: Hair Fair 2008!

This year's "Hair Fair" benefiting Locks of Love is easily turning out to be the talk of the summer.  I know personally that the girls of Free*Style have been oohing and ahhing almost non-stop over the incredibly creative styles that are available for purchase.  There are also amazingly generous gifts at every vendor.  It's a hair hoar's dream!  (I think it's less offensive if you write it in lolcats-ese.  At least that's the rumor.  If anyone is offended by "hoar," please look at some pictures of kyoot kitties doing kyoot stuff and then leave a comment, lol.)  Philotic Energy
