Edge (2010 - The Future is Now)

One has to have an "edge" to tackle the future, or the past may not let you go.  A sharp edge is best, as it cuts through the unessential confusion, and clearly exposes that which is needed.

This ensemble from L'Able ensure you are ready to fight your way mercilessly to the future, whilst knowing you look dayum good.  The broad shoulders send a loud and clear "not to be messed with"  message,  and as seen in the top picture, the bolero jacket has awesome detailing.  I like how the leggings provide a graphical contrast to the outfit, breaking it up and giving it further interest, ooooh and the gloves.. well they ensure you don't break a nail during the battle to the future.

Swan Song: The Great Wave by L'Abel

label01

This dramatic frock from L'Abel, the Great Wave Gown, has a vintage feel, as if it's something Ginger Rogers would wear for a dance number out on a tropical beach. I can see her walking into the waves, the froths of her dress melding into the froth of the sea... The dress is constructed around a sculpted bell-shaped skirt, something solid to anchor all of the froth. It rises to a wave-printed top, and even more froth spills down the shoulder to meet the skirt.

I'm wearing it with a dark skin from Exodi, one that glows against the aqua fabric of the bodice. The makeup has a subtly blue lip and dark eye, dramatic enough to carry off the power of the dress. I'm also wearing a lolita crown from Violet Voltaire above Gauze hair, princess-themed to highlight a noble dress.
