2010 - The Game of the Courtisane and The Unknown Century by Violator

Just in case the last few weeks wasn't an absolute giveaway...  I'm mad about the more exotic and innovative fashion that's possible in Second Life.  The thing is - gravity is no issue, and physics can be told to take a flying leap. Gowns can be created from silk and organza or they could be spun from light, cobwebs and zephyrs. Some designers simply GET this, and Soraya Vaher and Minx Glaz of Violator are amongst the best of those who do.

Some eldritch trail led me to their store just a few days before the Swansong event started in July.

2010 - CyberSamurai and CyberGeisha by Miamai

Take one of the most elegant and archaic symbols of fierce beauty in world history, then add a hypermodern skew on the concept, and send it out into the far reaches of the universe. This is what Monica Outlander of the design house Miamai has done with her twin triumphs CyberGeisha and CyberSamurai, created for the 2010 - The Future Is Now event at Greenies sim.

2010 Revealed. You Need To Read This.

Everyone is telling us that life is coming to an end. The financial market has crashed, the population has exploded beyond all sustainable means. And however hard we try to pull together  now and fix the world? It doesn't matter. The Mayan Calendar says that humanity is coming to an end in 2012. Bullshit, says I.

So the people who brought you Swansong decided to celebrate the enduring power of the human race with the epic event    2010 - The Future Is Now.
