2010 - Kali-Bhadra by SN@TCH

Ivey Deschanel of SN@TCH is one of the creators in Second Life that Rezzable is more than happy to invite back for every event. 2010 - The Future Is Now is her fifth time participating with us, and she has not once failed to bring something interesting, astonishing and intrinsically Ivey. She visited Egyptian mythology with her Bast avatar for the Digital Alchemy event in April '09, and now she has further explored tales of humanity's faith with her Hindu Goddess Kali-Bhadra - but has blown her out in the most cybernetic tentacular way possible.

Dangerous Violations

Slow down boy, these curves are dangerous. At least that's what this dress from Ivey Deschanel of SN@TCH is called, created for our Swansong event recently. I was so enamoured of it's high couture dark drama that I felt it deserved another outing, as I attempt to show you items from of all our 2010 - The Future Is Now designers before the event goes live on January 11th.

Rowrrr....

The Godess Bastet licked her paw, and considered what a hard life it was to be so beloved. It's not easy being the feline epitome of sensuality when all your potential suitors have been spayed. She pouted as she looked around her amazing home, then scowled when she realised that the litterbox was still outside.

After flopping herself down on her sculpted divan, she considered what to do next. Stretching her dark form out languidly, she mused upon her options. She wasn't on heat, so that ruled THAT out. And no mice dared peek their noses into her Sky Temple.

The perfect dress for the festive time Sn@tch it at black swan's "winter magic"

Something that always astounds me about the talent of creators, clothing designers in particular, in Second Life is how they have the power to make you believe. A commonly uttered phrase about SL (admittedly normally about whatever drama is happening on the Grid that day) is “It's just pixels”. True enough, but when the pixels we are treated to daily in SL have been treated with as much love and care as these, who are we to complain? I have no graphical, or mechanical skill whatsoever (when I once tried to play with flexi in Second Life, all I could do was make a scary tentacle, which now proudly terrorizes visitors to my friend's garden), it's really quite shameful, but I really am quite excellent at suspending disbelief when I see something beautiful. A good amount of my friends are technically minded, and when they see something cool in SL, they'll say “I wonder how they did that?”.

Sn@tching at some Winter Magic

Ivey Deschanel of SN@TCH  - who I recently personally crowned as "Goddess of the Badass Textile" - has come through yet again. A plea went out to her to create a men's outfit for the Black Swan - Winter Magic show, and boy, did she come through. With a KILT!

Not just any kilt - this sparkling white beauty named the "Snow Dragon." White being my favourite colour I was all over this the second it came out of the box, and people have had a very hard time persuading me to take it off since. Rumor has it that it was designed with someone we know in mind,  but I'm not going to spread unfounded gossip all over the Rezzable blog. Just... watch out if you are on my friends' list, you'll be dealing with a very excited Vampire over the coming days. Okay, weeks.
