Thank you so  much for this post! I didn't realize until I saw this that 3Di OpenViewer could already be used on non-3Di grids. Well, kind of used.

3Di OpenViewer now seems to be at the same stage as Xenki -- limited functionality, no textures. I can't wait to see who will get to the finish line first.
