As any self-respecting kitchen should be, Greenies Home Sim's kitchen suffers from infestation by roaches. Roaches? Cockroaches (or simply "roaches") are insects of the order Blattaria. This name derives from the Latin word for "cockroach", blatta. Anyway, they are a real pest!

How to get rid of the roaches

Luckily, the roaches at the Greenies Kitchen can easily be splattered. To do so, you just need a Zapgun. Wait until one of those icky, terrible roaches pops out of his roach motel, go into mouselook, aim for the cockroach and pull the triggeeerrm... left mouse button. Hit the cockroach? Great! It will splash apart in a trillion of virtual pieces. Missed? No problem, just try again.

Are virtual roaches harmful?

No, unlike common beliefs, the roaches at the Greenies Kitchen are perfectly safe and healthy for normal avatars to be around. It is only when you carry a Zapgun, you should be careful. Wearing the Zapgun, being hit by a roach swings you into the air. To avoid this, you can either kill the cockroach before it hits you - the preferred solution -, or hoover a bit above the floor surface. Be careful though, sometimes virtual roaches can jump!

Pest control pays off

So yes, we need your help to keep this roach plague under control. But of course, we offer something in return. On top of prizes when you killed a certain amount of roaches, each day at midnight SLT, the avatar that has killed most roaches gets rewarded with a special Greenies gift.
