Artist Biography

Paul Cohen a.k.a. Komuso Tokugawa a.ka. Sonicviz: A talented multi-instrumentalist/singer, programmer, designer, and visual artist he has performed over 500 times to packed SL sims since early 2005.

Hailing from Australia but based in Tokyo, he connects the real and virtual worlds along a musical energy continuum from Relaxation Music to High Energy Boogie Blues live performances. One foot is in the emotionally expressive analogue world of traditions such as deep blues and 1200 year old Japanese bamboo flute, the other firmly in virtual worlds as the new frontier for live performance.

Recent comments on his solo blues and collaborative audiovisual performances include ".. his show is a dance party on your computer.", ...put on the chillest events I'd never imagined possible." and “... delivers an authentic, foot- stomping, gritty punch that rocks the house.”

He has a Masters in Music, a Masters in Technology Management, and a BSc in Page 2 Mathematics/Computer Science, practices Tai Chi and skiing, and is also a former world champion in sport parachuting.
