The Build
Nec mortem effugere quisquam nec amorem potest aka Nec's Personal Hell
About the Build
Its my own personal hell, love and death, that which we can not flee from nor escape. Often in love I have found death, just about everyone I have ever truly loved has died. The piece, for me, is a way of expressing that experience and feeling. However, it seems that it says different things to different people based on their own experiences, hopes and dreams; some people find hope and solace in it, I think that is great.
About the Artist
I was a sorta sometimes Sims2 custom content creator, I would occasionally make things and share them, but mostly I enjoyed giving others the hand and or place to create their own stuff. I still have the website up and running and I suppose it will continue to do so as long as people call it home. A friend of mine (Myth Dibou) from the Sims2 community dragged me into SL pretty much kicking and screaming, that was a little over a year ago and I haven't left since. I was
excited by her abilities to create in Second Life, and the possibilities of trying something new, yet slightly familiar.
In turn I was able to rekindle a few other friends interest in Second Life and
bring a few others over from the Sims2 community. I am awestruck daily watching their creativity blossom whether it be in filming amazing works of machinima, making clothes or going on to represent development companies in SL. I think the thing that keeps me working and playing in Second Life is the ability to share and create with others, I find it enriching and rewarding to be able to watch others
grow and to share that with them, people I would never otherwise meet in the "real world".
I have always enjoyed creating things in an art medium of some sort, I found creating digital 3d art to be the least messy, and take up the least amount of space while providing the most satisfaction. Someday however I hope to find the time and space to get back into drawing/painting/sculpting /sewing etc using tangible mediums again. In the meantime, whatever keeps the creative juices flowing is alright by me.
