Lil Tank Thibedeau is the DJ alt for Ricken Flow aka Ricky Davis in real life. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana now living in San Antonio, TX, one year old in Second Life and 39 years young in real life. His global influence comes from the variety of people that come to New Orleans. He always include in his sets music from different countries.

He first heard about Second Life in a newspaper article about how companies hold interviews in Second Life that is why he registered.

Once he got here he realized how much more Second Life is. In RL he is hiv+ and the support groups he discovered for different health issues and all the great non-profits is what has kept him here.  He started DJ'ing as a way to help with donations for the various non-profits.  In RL he has been an amateur DJ for four years.

Volunteering for different non-profit agencies and found he could do the same from home through Second Life. He now volunteers as Ricken Flow for the non -profit commons.  A multi island sim that lets  real life non profits have a space in second life for free.  He leads classes in hiv/aids 101  and volunteers as a greeter for Virtual ability, inc.  A orientation island for people with disabilites in real life.  The provide services in RL and in SL for people with disabilites to be able to use technology and virtual worlds.

His first DJ experience was a disaster.  It was for a fundraiser for Relay for Life.  He used Winamp and realized that it did not have the features he wanted as a DJ.  He invested in Virtual DJ and that is what he uses till this day.

His most amazing DJ performance was at the Day of Remembrance.  He got to play music from his home town of New Orleans, zydeco and band music. During the middle of   his set he played one of his favorite gospel tunes,  I need you to survive by Hezekiah Walker.  During the song he walked around to different avatars and told them he needed them to survive.  It was a very touching moment; he was crying in real life and got several messages that other people were crying as well.  It was that point that made him realize that music can touch everyone's life.

You will hardly hear him play current hits unless it's an awesome electro house remix or a request. Music is such a part of his life, his collection of music goes from jazz to neo soul to electro house to 80's.  He has over 1,000 cd's and lp's

As a kid he always loved sci fi movies and cartoons.  It is that love that spread into his love for technology.  Second Life has opened his mind to the possibilities of Virtual Worlds.  His favorite cartoon of the moment is Fosters home for imaginary friends or anything by Miyazaki. He is currently a student at Kaplan University online studying Communications/Technical Writing.

After being in Second Life for a year, he has a goal of one day being able to work from home at least 80 percent of the time, hopefully through Second Life.   He wants to balance his love for dj' ing and volunteering in second life and being able to work from home.
