Mabb first heard about Second Life in June 2006 and created her avatar very soon after because the idea of user-created content peaked her curiosity. Once she had explored a little she was captivated by the possibilites!  Not long after, she started working as a host with a club where she was a regular. They were short on DJs and because she had a large and varied music collection, decided she would give it a try - and was immediately hooked.   She loves electronic music of all types - trance & goa, drum and bass, ambient chillout, old school house, trip hop and industrial.  She also adores jazz, both instrumental, vocal and latin from pretty much any era.  She's a Rock n Roll gal from way back and if you could see her in RL while she's DJing, she would be chair-dancing to 60s & 70s rock n roll, psychedelic, hard rock and heavy metal, punk, glam rock, grunge, alternative and indie. She also has a great collection of Lounge music, mad covers, reggae, hip-hop/rap, r&b/soul, EBM, goth and darkwave.

In her 18 months as a DJ in Second Life, Mabb has played every genre except classical music and that's only because she hasnt found a venue that wants to hear her collection! The genre of the music she plays depends on the venue, what people request and if all else fails, what she feels like playing on that day.  She likes a crowd that enjoys the music, sends her lots of requests and generally shows their appreciation and respect for the music and the venue. She loves to chat and joke around with the audience although at some romantic venues one understands that silence is ok too :)

Her current schedule includes a rock club, a romantic jazz venue, a casual social club and an eclectic venue where the clientele loves nothing better than the craziest, wierdest music she can come up with.  Her partner is in the process of building her own venue in their brand new sim.
 
Mabb's favourite quote about Second Life is from Tya Fallingbridge (SL Resident and creator of PixelMode): "I have always said that Second Life is a look into the human mind. Its the human mind in 3D form."
