Otawan Fouquet

Otawan Fouquet has been in the Second Life environment since 8/13/2006, and currently lives in the Indianapolis Area. She not only works and creates in Second Life, but also runs a business called Celtic Mayhem in real life. She is a 3 dimensional modeler, artist and Disc Jockey in the real world. She was encouraged to join Second Life by her best friend of 15 years, when her husband died tragically from cancer.

She currently works in the Second Life full time, and has been successful in building a paying job within Second Life. She and her real partner, build, script and DJ, and continue to obtain jobs within the environment, and make it work for a real life success story. 

Her first performance in Second Life, was a Disc Jockey for the large the Diegoland sim, and also was the place where she began to script and develop new contacts in the design arena. She was contacted by Dublin, after they heard her Djing at Diegoland for several special events for St. Patrick’s Day, and Midsummer night. As her popularity grew, Dublin then decided to make a Djing event just for her on Saturdays, and then she was later promoted Dj manager. 

She currently uses Sam 4 broadcaster, and acquires all her music through Cds, records and lime wire for her mp3 library. Her software for djing was bought through JJ Collinwood, a vendor for this particular software that is connected to Dublin Sim Services. 

Her favorite music genres, are all music, she is always excited about new tunes, and the availability of them. She loves to experiment with new music and to, see how the crowd reacts to the tunes. She is big on interacting with the crowd, and loves to see how far and funny she can be. She has a really good sense of what the crowd likes and is able to load music at a moments notice to please her listeners. Her extensive library contains everything from ancient tunes, to the Drum and bass and hip hop of today.

Otawan has the ability to make a crowd react to her music with her verbal and music abilities. She loves playing for an enthusiastic crowd, one who interacts with her and sends requests, so that she may play their favorites. She also has a list of songs, which are devoted to her regular fans, and she makes it a point to play them, and continue to develop more lists for new members. She has a DJ group that she adds to daily that contains over 53 people, and sends out notices to be able to let them know when she plays. She has a wonderful ability to make people laugh and enjoy the music, while dancing and visiting with others. She loves to connect with the crowd and let them know they are very important, and she is here to entertain them. 
 
She enjoys going to Dublin to visit and to make contact with all her old friends, and make sure they know that she is around. She has retired from the Dublin Sim DJ manager to pursue her own career as DJ, and to move onward, but still remains friends with all the family there, and is still considered Momma Ot. She has become the Mother of the Dublin Clan because of her positive attitude and wanting to help anyone, who needs help. She still loves going to Dublin for music and companionship and also to welcome new and old DJs to Dublin. 

She currently has a Myspace website and another one still in the process of being built. Both of these site are currently under construction, but can viewed and accessed at the locations above. 
 
Second Life has touched Otawan’s life, in ways no one can imagine; she has married her partner from here in real life, and has developed a wide circle of devoted fans and friends. She has become involved in live music promotion and continues to grow and thrive in the environment daily. She continues to discover new and different ways in which to entertain, she is reaching for a Global and Universal connection with her music and connections to the Live Music organizations. Her desire is to DJ, but yet to promote other DJs and live music in Second Life and Real life.
