Forda Fairlane was born in October of 2006 after hearing about Second Life through a photography forum she belonged to. Like many newbies, Forda knew very little about the Second Life world, so she spent most of her time camping, playing Slingo, and meeting new people.
Forda became intrigued by the talents she saw in the clothing designers and began to read tutorials after learning that most were made in photoshop, a program she has been very fluent in for several years, because of her real life photography business. Forda is inspired by many talented SL artists such as Moxie Polano, Nicky Ree, Miko Omegaum of Icing, and the late Ginny Talamasca of Last Call. These artists do more than just texture a prim, they truely create art which is what Forda thrives to be known for one day as well.
By December of 2006, Forda had started making clothing - not of the best quality mind you, but still on the road to learning and not giving up, knowing that great quality cannot be learned overnight. She teamed up with her soon to be best friend and mentor Moxie Polano, who helped guide Forda in the right direction into making better quality clothing.
In the summer of 2007, Forda was brought on board the Rezzable team to help design clothing for several of their sims, taking her talents up one more level.
In January of 2008, Haute Style & Co. was born! Haute Style & Co. offers a variety of clothing styles, but mainly casual, upscale, well detailed apparel that most any female avatar can fit into their wardrobe at the most reasonable prices around.
