As a child, HauntedZuzu Sorbet drew cobwebs and stripes on her paper dolls and accessorized her dolls with sticks and moss. Her parents were concerned when they discovered she’d painted black tears streaming from the eyes of her dolls. However, when they quickly let it go after they discovered several of her dolls mysteriously shrunken and shriveled. As a questionably stable adult she enjoys pushing pixels into strange and odd fashion for SecondLife™. HauntedZuzu adores creating in SecondLife™ because where else can one spend hours trying to make a single pant leg cuff seam line up?
The Haunted Zuzu fashion line caters to the mentally disturbed who want to look good as they saunter off to the spa for electroshock therapy. HauntedZuzu also loves to entomb the occasional cheerleader in fashionable wrap of sinew and soil. The line is very elite (read: small) as the Goddess who pulls HauntedZuzu’s virtual strings is very busy with real life and a toddler. But when she can find time to make some fashion, she draws her inspiration from gothic tendencies, Tim Burton, HR Giger, Elsa Schiaparelli, lol Catz, Max Ernst, Henri Rousseau, Camille Rose Garcia, elevator music, Leonora Carrington, Winston Smith, Alexander McQueen and countless other artistic geniuses. Photoshop and Zbrush are HauntedZuzu’s primary tools of creation but when those fail she just stares at the screen until drops of blood start to form on her forehead. And if that doesn’t do the trick, she makes voodoo dolls of various reality TV stars and has-been former child actors.
At first profile glance and rezday inspection, HauntedZuzu appears to be a newcomer to SecondLife™. But really, that’s a giant lie and the person behind the keyboard has been around SecondLife™ in one form or another for several years. A very novice bungling detective could sleuth out the main account in about 5 minutes. HauntedZuzu is not trying to hide her identity from anyone except the Uruguayan authorities and Tyra Bank’s producers. She just needed to step away from her bloated inventory and work in a clean space. (Little hints: Kala Bijoux, Material Squirrel, famous, awesome virtual wings, ... ;))
HauntedZuzu Sorbet leaves you with a few of her favorite quotes:
The buttocks are the most aesthetically pleasing part of the body because they are non-functional. Although they conceal an essential orifice, these pointless globes are as near as the human form can ever come to abstract art. ~Kenneth Tynan
Blondes make the best victims. They're like virgin snow that shows up the bloody footprints. ~Alfred Hitchcock
Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous. Therefore, the latter are stronger. ~Coco Chanel
In difficult times fashion is always outrageous. ~Elsa Schiaparelli
