So what is there to tell about Ivey Deschanel? I'm very much the same in RL as I am in here. Well in here I'm perpetually 25 and a vampire and reallly wicked tall. IRL I'm 30 something lol and live in Boston Mass.  I do make a good living in SL as a designer. I have a BA in fine arts from ECU..I've always been artistic. Though when I went to college there wasnt much work being done on computers yet. I learned most of what I know about Photoshop and making clothing in SL on my own, reading tutorials and with tips and help from some generous talented people.

I actually started making avatars in other venues like Excite, Halsoft and Palace and I do web graphics. I have my two sims, Pulse (our shopping and business sim) and Asylum a residential sim...with my RL and SL partner Roblem Hogarth. We have a club and an urban/grunge shopping district and of course Sn@tch, our Gothic clothing line, The Hunger, my partner's brand !ReTox! and [METHOD] our furniture business.

I was a child of the 80's so the punk/goth club look is what I wore then and to an extent now in real life. I just couldnt find much of it in SL, my designing came as a frustration at not being able to find what I wanted to wear initially. If I cant find it, I'll make it dammit. As far as RL designers influences go, my inspirations are the kids who took the nice clothes their parents bought them and destroyed them with scissors, tape, markers and pins...oh and Betsey Johnson lol

I knew if I was gonna really go for it in here I had to go full on from the start. Sn@tch has always been all attitude, honest in it's approach and serious business. People bawk at my way of marketing but it works for me and the people that come back again and again...well they get it. You have to have a sense of humour, you have to be open minded or you might take my promoting style as offensive. From the start I've had the attitude that...if I wouldnt wear it, I wont sell it.

I came from a chat format (Palace) where I designed avatars for free and had my own avatar shops. I had no clue you could actually charge money for this. It still shocks me. Now I'm all business, but not so much for the money cause thats niceee, but I have to be creating something. I just cant stop. Honestly, if I didnt make money doing this, I'd still do it for nothing in my spare time. I have a real soft spot for new players and try as much as I can to give things away regularly.

As for plans for the future, we're working on our furniture business, always expanding, constantly building and making new things and growing. I have a lot in mind where Sn@tch will go and I'm encorporating a complete experience as well as shopping at the main store, doing elaborate games and events, planning now for the fall season and halloween our favorite holiday (more on that soon...watch the blogs) but always sticking to our roots...Wicked hot Punk/Glam/Goth/Club clothing with a serious edge and attitude for an SL alternative lifestyle.

I'm so excited to be part of Rezzable's Passions of the Black Swan. The sim is awesome and so inspiring. I just cant wait to get started! My brain is flooded with ideas I just have to make real...well as real as pixels can get. *laughs*

My favorite Second Life Quote: "LOL..yeah..I think it's kind of humorous really..all the posturing and posing in a real life, OOC way. When the truth of the matter is; we're all sitting in front of the computer in our jammy bottoms, our hair messed up and drinking half-cold coffee while pushing pixels around a plaything world" (by Azia Lunasea)
