Samsara Nishi

Samsara is a Buddhism term that refers to the cycle of rebirth. It's a process: the tendency to keep creating worlds on the way to enlightenment, and then moving into them... Meaning when our world is starting to collapse due to our death, we create a new world and move into it. At the same time, we bump into other people who are creating their own worlds too, and impact each other!

Samsara Nishi, who was SL-born in July 2007, has been creating her own fashion world since February 2008. She started creating clothes for herself, and she was so delighted with the virtual 3D design process that she decided to share it with others creating Sam's Secret Boutique.

Samsara first heard about Second Life back in 2006, and it tooks almost a year to her to register. She was curious about how could residents create themselves a virtual world, and she was caught when she started to explore it, becaming a Second Life addicted. She started to create herself just early this year. The creation and the collaboration processes cham her in many ways. "I could never, ever imagine so many people across the world could be collabotating and working together in a virtual world, for example, for a RL goal like RFL. I still have on my blog a picture of the map showing a crowded 35 sims during the RFL weekend events." said Samsara Nishi.
She is also jumping into SL Mentoring world, as far as she was recently approved as a SL Mentor: "I invest some hours per week at Help Islands trying to help new residents, but I guess I'm learning more than mentoring... I mean: 'learning how to mentor' or 'mentoring how to learn'." she said.

With previous experience as graphic designer, Samsara Nishi had never created  stuff to 3D enviroments before."OMG! I recall the first outfit I made... I never showed it to nobody because it sucks! lol So I decided to attend some training courses inworld to better understand the avatar mesh and how to build prim skirts." - said Samsara.  Attending some NCI training courses, doing some SL clothing tutorials she googled, watching some "Torley Funny Linden" video tutorials, and mainly "trying & trying & trying it again"... was her way to learn how to create clothes to SL. "Oh! Do you really want to know what are the tools and software I use to make my clothes and textures? hmmm.... this is a secret... ;-)"

The creation process starts depending on her mood, and sometimes depending on recent experience she had inworld or in RL. Sometimes she creates outfits to a special event, or to fit new shoes or new skin. And sometimes she creates outfits inspired in a particular sim (Sam's Secret Arles Dress and Sam's Secret Lebettu outfit are good examples of this). You can find dressy, classic, casual, fetish, gothic and even beachwear outfit styles at Sam's Secret Boutique. "Sam's Secret Boutique is all about wearing different outfits depending on our mood." said Samsara. "I absolutly love the idea to continue without a 'fixed' style... I love to create, and depending on the inspiration source, it drives me to design different styles..."

"By the way, it was so hard to have to pick a fav piece of art at Black Swan... I can see passion everywhere... It is possible actualy to feel the passion that drove the builders of this amazing sim! From the breathtaking scultures, passing trought the FXs, and even some litle details... like this litle devil boy preparing a toste :-)" said Samsara Nishi.

When asked about how Black Swan inspired her, Samsara Nishi answered: "First time I visited Black Swan, back 2 or 3 months ago, the prisoner angel made me cry... I felt absolutly anxious when I saw his suffering. How could someone with wings be unable to fly? So I flew for him... and I found the lady in the wind. I was there, watching her when her stoned skin becamed a sweet skin, and her stoned clothes becamed transparent fabric flying in the wind... I smiled relieved. Both of them have passion for freedon!! And so do I!  Passion for freedon was my inspiration to desing this dress! And as far as I'm a red addicted, it was impossible to me to avoid the lava shades..."
