Four Yip

Four Yip is an artist, a designer and an eccentric. She showcases her art, creates a variety of interesting and altogether unique outfits and objects and is known for walking off the beaten path. With influences ranging from Charlie Chaplin to fifties leather and strange science experiments, she reaches out to a wide audience. She joined Second Life after reading an article about it in a magazine. Possibly. Her memory of her early days is hazy. Interested in the creative applications, she signed up for an account early in two thousand and seven. From her first day, she was interested in the fashions of the virtual world and ended up gaining a strong appreciation for uniforms.

Her shop is nestled in MO Island, on the water. The majority of her items are freebies, which makes them even more accessible to the shopping public. For textures, she uses Photoshop, and creates everything else using built-in Second Life tools. Not nestled down in any particular niche, she creates products to appeal to everyone. She draws the majority of her inspiration from songs and art pieces. She enjoys putting simple clothing and complex gadgets together in order to allow an avatar to do much more than is usual, and does not think of what she does as business. Instead, it is a learning process, through which she can grow and develop her skills, something she enjoys a great deal.

She is most famously known for her art, which she showcases virtually all around Second Life. She paints, photographs and sculpts. The Hotel Dare is one of her more prevalent locations. It is a bizarre, artsy and absolutely surreal building chock full of utilized creative potential. In taking Second Life avatars and turning them into digital paintings she ends up merging three realities into a single canvas. With this, she brings out the stories behind the avatars, which she believes to exist through clothing options and poses, everything a person chooses to accent themselves with.
