Stephanie Misfit

Stephanie Misfit Portrait

Stephanie Misfit arrived in Second Life on 25 May 2006, just a couple of days after flexi-prims. She'd heard about Second Life somewhere on the interwebs, and assumed it was a game like The Sims, but soon worked out it was far more expensive and there were other people there too. Stephanie's first forays into the world of Second Life fashion were slutwear, big platinum hair, and extensive modifications to the size of the Ruth shape's boobs. Stephanie's boobs have shrunk dramatically since those early days, as has her bank balance in accumulating a huge wardrobe. Stephanie founded the SL Fashion Victim blog with Swirly Cyclone, Ayami Reisman and Cinnamon Coffee in early 2007 and has been involved in the world of SL fashion since then. She really doesn't have time for other virtual worlds, although did log in to Twinity one day and found it confusing.

Stephanie opened her store La Sylphide in early 2008 after spending many weeks deliberating about the name. She creates skins in Photoshop and BodyPaint 3D, and uses a combination of photosourcing and hand drawing. It usually takes her about 3 months to get anything finished due to a combination of laziness and time constraints.

Stephanie's style in SL is pretty mainstream which is a bit of a contrast to her typist's appearance, which is most often described as "scary" due to her extensive collection of tattoos, heavy metal t-shirts and New Rock boots. Stephanie can't really identify an inspiration for her skins, except perhaps boredom.
