2008 SL Footwear Expo

Where else could you go to see amazing designs solely for your feet but the 2008 SL Footwear Expo? This year marks the first such fair of its kind, celebrating and showcasing designs from over 65 of SL’s hottest footwear designers.

Saturday, July 12th until Sunday, July 27th.

Fair coordinator Phoenix Chapman has a soft spot for animals, and is greatly saddened when hearing stories of animals abused and neglected by their owners. Wondering how she could help these poor helpless creatures, she started wondering how she could raise money in SL for a domestic animal charity. Eventually, the idea of a fair devoted exclusively to shoes, an exploding market for Second Life as sculpties are used more and more in everyday fashion.

She approached Rezzable on the heels of the very successful SL RFL Clothing Fair, an event they sponsored with the donation of four Sims. With the blessing of Rezzable to hold her event, she set about inviting 'virtual shoe designers' from all corners of Second Life, from small designers just starting out, to well-established icons in footwear design. 100% of proceeds will be given to charity to help abused animals in the USA.

Come out this July to show your support for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and discover the best shoes in SL, from new, or new to you, and old.

Grand opening on Saturday, July 12th at 9:00 am SLT, running all the way through until Sunday, July 27th.
